In accordance with Regulation 2024/1106 of April 11, 2024, amending Regulation 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (hereinafter “REMIT”), which established a specific framework for the sector, in order to detect and prevent market manipulation and insider trading, participants in these markets must provide to the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (hereinafter “ACER”), on a regular basis, data on the transactions executed in these wholesale energy markets, both for the supply of energy and for the supply of electricity, the participants in these markets must periodically provide the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (hereinafter “ACER”) with data on the transactions executed in these wholesale energy markets, both for the supply of electricity and natural gas, as well as for the transportation of these products.
In accordance with the above, MIBGAS S.A. (MIBGAS) as the entity responsible for managing the Organized Gas Market will provide the communication service under the aforementioned EU Regulation as ACER's Registered Reporting Mechanisms (RRM).
In accordance with the provisions of the REMIT regulation, MIBGAS Derivatives will report its operations through MIBGAS S.A., as RRM duly authorized by ACER.
