As of January 1, 2021, European market participants – including gas - must publish any inside information they possess on an IIP (Inside Information Platform) that is validated by ACER
MIBGAS and OMIE have collaborated to develop an IIP Platform in which they offer to all their market participants a tool to comply with the provisions of article 4 of the Regulation (EU) no 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency, known as REMIT.
The services that both operators offer to their participants, both in the gas and electricity sectors, are the following:
• Publishing insider information.
• Sharing insider information in a centralized way that is certified, through web sources.
• Storing published insider information and making it possible to download it.
Accessing information published on the IIP is public and free of charge for all stakeholders, not only for MIBGAS and OMIE market participants but for any other interested from other wholesale markets. The aim is to promote transparency and sharing information centrally with the highest possible number of users.
All the information published in the IIP can be consulted through the following link:
The service for publishing inside information is only offered free of charge to electricity market participants managed by OMIE and the gas market managed by MIBGAS.
