New OTC products added for registration on the MIBGAS platform

MIBGAS has expanded the portfolio of bilaterally traded (OTC) products available for registration on its Iberian gas market platform by incorporating new expirations starting yesterday.
Until now, monthly OTC products could be registered in the MIBGAS PVB up to M+6, and now this range has been extended to M+12. Likewise, and in relation to annual products, MIBGAS previously allowed registration up to Y+2 and it has now added new terms incorporating Y+3 and Y+4. These new OTC products are cleared through the OMIClear clearinghouse.
These new options are in addition to those announced a month ago when OTC registrations of intraday products in PVB (virtual balancing point) and TVB (virtual balancing tank), and of within-day or next day D+1 delivery products from AVB (virtual balancing storage), were incorporated; operations which, in this case, can also be registered, settled and notified to the technical manager of the gas system through MIBGAS Derivatives, which guarantees their execution at the minimum cost without counterparty risk.
To register OTC transactions it is necessary to be registered with MIBGAS Derivatives; once this step has been completed, trades can be registered directly by agents or via authorised brokers
The process for registering with MIBGAS Derivatives is very simple.
And, as in MIBGAS, agents may participate in the market directly or through a representative.
