MIBGAS redesigns its mobile pricing app
26/05/2026
MIBGAS recently launched an update to its MIBGASinfo mobile application with a renewed and more modern look. This new version offers a better user experience by simplifying the steps and screens for accessing the information it provides, primarily real-time volumes and prices.
The MIBGASinfo mobile application, launched in 2022, is free and multiplatform (iOS and Android) and allows users to check the prices and volumes of MIBGAS reference products traded in real time (updated every 30 minutes). Another of its functionalities is to show the future price curve of natural gas, which is crucial for many companies when designing their energy purchasing strategy. The application is available in three languages: Spanish, Portuguese and English.
Improved navigation and accessibility
Among the main changes in this new version, the new distribution of elements on the HOME page stands out.
Upon entering, the real-time prices of the Day Ahead and Month Ahead products are highlighted on “cards”; pressing on the icon of either of them displays the most important information for each and the evolution of the price path throughout the current trading session. Tapping on each of the “cards” takes the user to the corresponding screen for each product with more detailed information and historical data.
Furthermore, at the bottom there is now a fixed navigation menu, which will always be visible and from which the main sections can be accessed: indexes, agenda, news and participants. The new design uses different shades of the main colours from MIBGAS’ corporate identity, which have passed the contrast test at the textual level for better readability.
Products and indices
The products and indices will be displayed in a list, as before; the new feature is that it can be expanded by tapping on each one, so they can be opened or closed to show or hide the information depending on what the user wishes to consult, thus simplifying their browsing.
Regarding the indices, each one shows the latest available price, calculated per day of gas, and its monthly, quarterly or annual evolution.
Regarding the products, they open in a drop-down menu that displays information on prices and traded volumes with the corresponding graphs, thus facilitating, as a new feature, the ability to see these two data points on the same screen, thereby improving user experience. Additionally, at the bottom of each product drop-down menu there is a button for accessing historical data that redirects to a new screen where prices and volumes are displayed in four sections: 1 week, 1 month, 1 quarter, 1 year
Price curve
The natural gas futures price curve remains another key piece of information in the app. It is now redistributed in a graph with a calendar button to choose a date and another graph below showing information on the PVB curve products in different time periods: month, quarter and year.
The news, agenda and participants sections retain the information offered by the previous version of the app. However, work has been done on the format and structure of the three pages to improve their appearance and user access to information.
