Raúl Yunta Huete has been appointed as president of MIBGAS S.A., the company responsible for the management of the Organized Gas Market in the Iberian Peninsula as well as the Guarantee Manager of the Spanish gas system.

He has a college degree in Industrial Engineering by the Polytechnical University of Madrid, and he is also graduate in the General Management Program from the IESE Business School, He has been counsellor of CORES Petroleum Strategic Reserves Corporation, president of the working group of the Southern European Regional Gas Initiative of ACER (Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators) and vice president MEDREG Gas Group (Mediterranean Energy Regulators).

He has a wide experience in the energy sector, specially, in natural gas. Along his professional career, he has held the Hydrocarbons Directorate of the National Energy Commission (CNE) and, previously, the Gas Directorate of this Commission. He has also been deputy assistant director of natural gas in the Energy Directorate of the National Commission of Markets and Competition. Raúl Yunta began his professional career in the research field, in the Technological Research Institute of ICAI, after this, he worked in planning and control in Spanish Power Grid (REE).

MiBGAS S.A. is the company responsible for the management of the Organized Gas Market in the Iberian Peninsula with 85 registered agents, currently. In 2018, the volume traded in MIBGAS platform was 24,3 TWh, reaching 6,9% of the spanish national demand of natural gas.
