MIBGAS has published a new issue of its quarterly newsletter, number 13, which is now available on the website of the Iberian gas market operator.

Among the highlights of this issue is an analysis of the first quarter of 2024, which has shown signs of recovery in the European market, with an average increase in industrial demand of 15% on 2023 and record storage levels close to 60%, in a context of price stabilisation compared with the previous quarter.

We also refer to the publication of the MIBGAS Annual Report 2023, which reviews the past year, highlighting the main trading figures and the most important milestones of the year, such as the launch of new products and the consolidation of price indices.

Among other MIBGAS milestones during the first three months of the year included in the newsletter are the first meeting of the working group for the evaluation of the price of renewable hydrogen, the opening for trading of the new futures products from MIBGAS Derivatives, and the implementation, together with EDP and Galp, of the gas market-maker service in Portugal.
