Issue 4 (Q4/2021) of the MIBGAS newsletter (in Spanish) is now available on the MIBGAS public website. This issue (the last of the year 2021) addresses the most important events that have impacted the gas market over the last year, where prices and their variability have played a leading role. In the midst of this international context, organised markets have provided the flexibility and dynamism required by agents to respond quickly to daily demand and unforeseen events, enabling them to manage their positions and optimise their daily balance sheet portfolio.

It also analyses issues such as the vigorous growth in gas and LNG trading, the role of Asia in the global context, the increased demand for gas in Europe and the low levels in gas storage facilities, a reduction in Russian gas supplies to Europe and the close relationship between the price of gas and the price of electricity seen in 2021, following previous years' trends.

Another section of Newsletter 4/2021 talks about MIBGAS' commitment to sustainability with the aim of becoming a socially responsible company, all enshrined in the Sustainability Plan for 2021-2024 (in English).
