MIBGAS set out the characteristics of the first Iberian renewable hydrogen price index at the third edition of Hydrogen Day, organised by Enagás. At last year's edition, the president of MIBGAS, Raúl Yunta Huete, announced that work would be starting on this pioneering price reference, and, with this year's edition, that commitment has become a reality.

MIBGAS IBHYX, the first Iberian renewable hydrogen index, has been published since 16 December, with weekly updates. MIBGAS IBHYX, a reliable, robust, non-manipulable, representative and cost-based resource, can be consulted and is openly available at www.greenenergy.mibgas.es. It is updated weekly.

At the 3rd Hydrogen Day, Yunta thanked Enagás and all the participants of the MIBGAS working group for their collaboration in this project and explained the multiple sensitivities of the hydrogen price, assuring them that efficiency will be key to reducing costs and guaranteeing its competitiveness. 

During the event, the main advances and challenges of renewable hydrogen were discussed by a significant number of institutional and business representatives.
