Axpo Iberia and ENGIE España have been appointed voluntary market makers in the MIBGAS electronic trading platform for the first semester of 2019, as stated in the corresponding Resolution of the Department for Energy Policy and Mines. It should be also noted the fact that both companies have joint experience in performing this market revitalization role in MIBGAS during the second half of 2018.

The task of the (voluntary) market maker is to stimulate the growth of the liquidity of natural gas wholesale markets by means of achieving the continuous presence of purchase and sale offers on the platform’s screen, specifically in the continuous market.
