MIBGAS is incorporating a new functionality for OTC registration of bilateral transactions of the D+1 natural gas or LNG product traded, respectively, at the VBP (virtual balancing point) and the VBT (virtual balancing tank). These transactions can, from now on, be registered, settled, and reported through MIBGAS Derivatives.

This functionality will complement the existing service, without replacing it, and will be carried out through the Registration and Consultation Platform, both by screen and by csv file. The registration, settlement and notification fee will be €0.02/MWh.

To register OTC transactions it is necessary to be registered with MIBGAS Derivatives; once this step has been taken, trades can be registered directly by agents or via authorised brokers

The process for registering with MIBGAS Derivatives is very simple.

And, as in MIBGAS, agents may participate in the market directly or through a representative.
