MIBGAS has reached a new milestone by having 300 companies that rely on the Iberian gas market platform on which they carry out their natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) buying and selling operations. After more than ten years of operation, MIBGAS has consolidated itself as the benchmark for the purchase and sale of natural gas and LNG in the Iberian Peninsula, offering a signal of robust, transparent and public pricing that can be consulted free of charge on its website or in the MIBGAS mobile application.

In January MIBGAS also recorded its best ever start to the year, with 18.3 TWh traded on the platform. This figure represents 49.1% of the total natural gas demand at the virtual balancing point (PVB), reflecting the sustained evolution of the market in recent years. Meanwhile, February has seen the upward trend continue with 14,5 TWh already traded to date.

MIBGAS ends the month of February with 300 registered agents, 18 of which registered on the platform in January and 9 in February. This demonstrates the strong commitment of companies to the Iberian gas market platform, on which a total of 182.2 TWh were traded last year, representing a 15.2% increase compared to 2024.
