MIBGAS is incorporating new options for OTC records of bilateral gas transactions. Until now, it was possible to directly register trades of the D+1 natural gas or LNG product which were traded, respectively, in the PVB (virtual balancing point) and in the TVB (virtual balancing tank).

As of yesterday, these options are enhanced with the addition of the option for OTC registrations of intraday products in PVB and TVB, and the addition of the option to register intraday or D+1 products in AVB (virtual balancing storage). From now on, these trades can be registered, settled and notified to the technical manager of the gas system through MIBGAS Derivatives, which guarantees their execution at the lowest cost.

To register OTC transactions it is necessary to be registered with MIBGAS Derivatives; once this step has been completed, trades can be registered directly by agents or via authorised brokers

The process for registering with MIBGAS Derivatives is very simple.

And, as in MIBGAS, agents may participate in the market directly or through a representative.
